This page is meant to act as a checklist/guide for training new Helpers. You are not meant to use this as a script to read, more of a skeleton to base your own training off of. All of the following should be covered during a Helper’s initial training session:
How to give welcome tour

Staff Discord Essentials

- “Never be afraid to talk or give input in discussion. If you can see the channel and aren’t forcibly stopped by permission your input is valued and appreciated”

What sections and channels can be muted as a Helper
- MODERATION LOGS - Section can be muted and hidden
- staff-commands - Can be muted if desired
- Reports/Shops/Game Requests - Can be muted if desired

What is and is not appropriate use of staff VC
- Provide clear expectations around when staff VC should be instead of a public VC

Helper’s discord punitive abilities
- Helpers have the ability to move and kick people from VC. This is a punitive action and should not be done light-heartedly
Committee structure
- Explain who committee leads are
- Explain what a committee lead does
- Explain what each role on the team does (briefly)
- Elaborate on what a Helper can do
- Helper’s responsibilities
- What a helper can/can’t do
- Explain Committee teams + wider staff system
- Gently gauge their interest in promotions

- Make sure they know they can always ask questions if they are ever unsure of how it works

- Types of things that are logged/not logged
- Make sure that it is clear that this information is not public and should NEVER be shared outside the staff team
