For some individuals with lower performance hardware may want to try some of the following tips to improve perfomance:

Lower Render Distance

• The server has a default view distance of 12, meaning you should never need to set yours higher than this.
• Reducing your render distance to 7 or 8 could provide a significant increase in FPS.

Lower Graphics Settings

• Try switching any graphics settings from “Fancy” to “Fast”.
• You can also fully disable some more demanding settins by setting them to “Off” instead.
• The following are typically the most performance impacting settings to change:
  • Render Distance
  • Graphics
  • Particles
  • Smooth Lighting

Reduce/Disable Particles

• This modpack includes mods which add a lot more particles to the world, which can be particularly laggy on older hardware.
• You can try changing this to “Decreased” or “Minimal” and see if it helps.

Disable Distant Horizons

Distant Horizons is the mod which adds low detail distant terrain to help the world feel bigger. It will allow you to see so much more of the world but it can be laggy on older hardware.
