This page is meant to act as a checklist/guide for training new Moderators. You are not meant to use this as a script to read, more of a skeleton to base your own training off of. All of the following should be covered during a Moderator training session:

Expectations for New Moderators

The jump in responsibility from Curator to Moderator is significantly larger than the one from Helper to Curator. New Moderators are not expected to know everything right away and it is completely acceptable (and expected) that you’ll need help from time to time as you settle in. You’ll frequently see long time Moderators (and sometimes even Admins) ask for clarification on things they don’t understand in the Discord channels that only Mods can see. You should still check in with other Moderators/Admins, in Mod chat or in a DM, when you need to and when you aren’t 100% sure on something. The rest of the Mod team, as well as the Admin team, is here to support you, especially as you settle into your new role as a Moderator.

Moderators gain access to a lot of new commands, most of them can be pretty self explanatory but you should nonetheless take the time to go through each of them and make sure they know what each one does.
