OLD RULES

🚨 LAST UPDATED: 14 December 2025

- This is a mature server and jokes are welcome. However, do not flame, disrespect, harass, or post/say any inappropriate content. There is a fine line between "goofing around" or "banter" with other players. As soon as it falls under this rule, it is no longer banter.
- Any form of hate speech, bigotry language, anti-Semitism, or harassment towards any group/identity is never welcome.
- This server is not a space for you to discuss any world events or to discuss politics.
- Links to the following social media platforms are banned: X, TikTok and Meta platforms. We will not punish people who post these links, only have them deleted. Whilst we will not remove/stop people from posting screenshots from these platforms, we would prefer our community to find alternative sources and post that in its place.
- All signs, books and instructions must be followed in public spaces. This includes but is not limited to: shops, public farms, utilities, players bases, and games.
- If you are live streaming or recording any Dominion server (twitch, discord, or otherwise), you must use the
/live command to alert all online players of your status.
- Dominion is a space for players to enjoy themselves and engaging with the rest of the community. Persistent negativity or unfriendly behavior towards other players will be considered "skirting" this rule, and will be addressed as a violation of our golden rule, possibly resulting in punitive action.

- You cannot destroy or modify any blocks with an area owned by another player without their permission inclusive of their builds and naturally generated terrain. This also includes the immediate 100 block area around where they are building in a cylindrical radius at all Y levels.
- You cannot steal from other players.
- You may not place traps that can intentionally harm or kill another player.
- While togglable PvP is enabled on Dominion, you still require explicit and full consent to kill another player. Having PvP enabled does not equal consent to kill.
- By killing a player, whether intentional or not, you are responsible for any and all losses the player encounters
- You cannot circumvent the PvP toggle and attempt to harm or kill another player through methods such as explosions or other means.
- Pranking is not allowed. If you have a close group of friends who like to mess with each other, that is fine. However, as soon as any behavior is reported to a staff member, it will be treated equally under this rule as any other type of griefing would be.
- All public use spaces such as shops, farms and utilities should used as stated in their instructions and be left the way you found them.
- Any area outlined in red on our live map is a restricted zone. Builds in this zone are typically reserved for community builds/events, and players must have prior permission to build there.
- The 20 End Gateways on the main End Island, as well as those that they link to, are protected and require prior permission to be built around.
- The central 4,000 radius of the Nether is prioritized for hub tunnels and future expansions. While you can make farms/builds within this region, priority will always be given to tunnels.
- All land claims must be clearly labelled with a sign or other equivalent method. If we can not verify who the land was claimed by, it will not be considered yours should someone else try to claim it:
- In the event someone tries to claim land you own, you will be given a one month period to make use of the land. If you do not, it will be relinquished.
- Any player who leaves the discord, is banned or otherwise no longer part of Dominion has no ownership or stake of land or items they had claimed.

- Using hacked clients, X-ray mods, X-ray texture packs, bugs, glitches, exploits or mods that alter your Vanilla experience or anything else that is considered hacking is strictly prohibited.
- Resource packs which outline ores are allowed, as are shaders which cause ores to emit light. However, no resource pack, shader pack, or mod can be used to make ores visible through blocks. This includes resource packs that change the shape or size of ores to expose them when they would normally be hidden.
- Some additions to Minecraft that are purely cosmetic or provide utility such as a Minimap mod or HUD are allowed.
- The use of any 3rd party tool/software/modification outside of our approved list can lead to a permanent ban. Please see the Allowed Mods page a list of allowed mods.

- An exploit is defined as the use of a bug, glitch, game system, plugin etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner that was not intended by the game's designers.
- Any form of exploit is not allowed. The Staff team reserve the right to determine what is and is not an exploit at any time. If you are unsure if something is an exploit, always feel free to ask.
- Duplicating items is strictly prohibited and will be met with an immediate permanent ban.
- Any method using the seed to find diamonds (or other ores), via automated programs, mods, world generation quirks, or any other method is considered an exploit and banable.
- Chunk Loaders are allowed in the form of Ender Pearl stasis chambers only within reason. Staff reserve the right to disable, without warning, any use cases determined as excessive.
- Circumventing the automatic AFK detection is considered an exploit. This includes any form of machine that constantly moves a player without the need to interact.

🚨 EXCEPTIONS:
- Cross map ender pearl linker.
- Methods used to break bedrock are allowed.
- TNT duplication is allowed with a few restrictions:
- Duplicated TNT can be used to clear land in concepts such as perimeter farms and underground tunnels.
- Duplicated TNT can be used in automated farms such as tree farms, concrete converters, and cobblestone generators.
- Duplicated TNT cannot be used if the primary intent is to mine ores and other valuable natural resources (such as diamond, ancient debris, and more).
- Per rule #7: Lag Prevention, the staff team reserve the right to assess possible lag caused by any machine and may turn off or otherwise disable the machine for any reason.

- Autoclicking to mine, kill monsters, craft or any other forms of autoclicking automation is strictly not allowed.
- Every click, press, or hold of a button must be performed by the player. You cannot disconnect your mouse, weight down your keys, or use 3rd party tools to achieve automation.
- Farms which require a player to always be clicking are allowed, however every input must be performed by the player (i.e. you cannot AFK such a farm)
- If we believe a player to be autoclicking, they will receive an in-game DM which must be responded to promptly

🚨 EXCEPTIONS:
- As of 1.21.10 you are ALLOWED to use the toggle click feature (for either right/left click)
- HOWEVER, the rules on AFK avoidance still apply (see rule 4)

- You may not link IPs, discord invites or website links to other servers without the permission of a moderator or above.
- You are welcome to post your own content, be it a stream, YouTube channel, or otherwise provided it is not considered spam. Keep in mind that links to X, TikTok and Meta platforms are banned as per Rule 1.
- You are free to post links to YouTube, Imgur, Reddit and other URLs provided the content is Safe For Work (not NSFW).

🚨 EXCEPTIONS:
You may share and discuss playing on minigame servers such as Hypixel, Hive, or Mineplex. When in doubt, just ask a Staff member.

- The Staff team reserve the right to disable/remove/destroy any creation/farm/build identified as causing significant lag or strain on the server.
- For Redstone best practices, check out our Dominion-specific guide here.

- Only one alt account is allowed per player. They will be given a gray display name and may be kicked for any reason, at any time if we deem the server too 'laggy' or space is required for other players.
- Alt accounts cannot perform ANY activity other than traveling to farms, AFKing at farms and operating farms by turning them on and off. Taming and AFKing with a wolf is also considered operating a farm. Using any form of auto-clicking is considered an exploit, and is against our community guidelines.
Some specific actions that cannot be done by alts are: moving items, crafting, building, or using your alt to enderpearl teleport your main account. They exist purely to keep chunks loaded for farms.
- Alt accounts cannot participate in any events or competitions, or chat in game.
- Sharing of accounts, main or alts, between multiple players is strictly against the rules.
- If your alt account is intentionally named to impersonate or otherwise parody a member of the community it must be done so with their consent. If you change your alt name to an impersonation/parody without prior consent from that player and they take issue, you will be required to change it and will not be allowed to continue using the alt account until the change is made.

-
You cannot share, discuss the sharing of, or discuss methods of obtaining any content which you do not have the rights to. This includes but is not limited to: Sharing torrent links, livestreaming music, uploading files.
-
Owning content does not necessarily give you the right to redistribute it.
-
This is in compliance with Discord TOS and DMCA.
See https://discordapp.com/terms & https://www.dmca.com/ for specific terms and conditions.

- You may not record another persons voice without their permission. This includes streaming on any platform.
- Exception: Your voice may be recorded during any special event by a staff member or staff member of a partnered community if participating in a joint event or community hosted forum.
- You may not use sound boards and or spam sound effects.
- These rules extend to any in-game voice mods used on our servers or for events.

- You are required to be 18 years old or older to participate in any aspect of the Dominion community.
- Any players who are discovered and proven to be younger will be immediately banned from all services associated with Dominion.
- All whitelisted players must maintain a linked discord account on the Dominion discord server. Players who leave the Discord will be removed from the whitelist and will be required to reapply.

Building Restrictions
- Shops/games must maintain a strict 3 block boundary between any neighboring plots. This includes from bedrock to world height. However, shops/games can be built directly next to paths, provided they do not overhang the path, and also remain 3 blocks away from their neighbors.
- Shops/games must be attached to the ground and accessible by foot. Floating shops/games, or builds that are unnecessarily tall or otherwise built for the purpose of stature/blocking other buildings, are not allowed. Additionally, shops cannot be built over water.
- Shops/games cannot be larger than 48 x 48 (3x3 chunks) wide without additional permission from a Moderator or higher. This can be requested via a “Make/Change Shop” or “Make/Change Game” ticket.
- Shops/games cannot make any major changes to terrain, such as destroying cliffs/mountains, rivers, or other natural features. Instead, your design should do its best to work with the natural landscape. When in doubt, open a ticket and staff will happily guide you.
- Shops/games cannot contain villagers for any reason.
- Activated beacons are not allowed. They are used for navigational purposes throughout our spawn and additional beacon beams can make it harder for players to orient themselves.
- All shops must be spawn proofed to prevent mobs from spawning. Non-compliant shops will be lit up by staff without regard for aesthetics.
- Any large changes to shops/games beyond superficial changes (example: rebuilds, expansions, complete overhauls) must be approved via a “Make/Change Shop” or “Make/Change Game” ticket prior to the changes taking place.
Lag Friendly Restrictions/Guidelines
- Excessive entities (item frames, armor stands, chests, signs, etc.) can cause lag on players with lower hardware. While one plot alone may not be an issue, an entire shopping district full of excess entities can put a strain on both the server and a player's client. Where possible, please limit them to what is necessary for function.
- Very complicated redstone machinery, particularly hoppers, can put a lot of strain on the server. Try to simplify your design as much as possible. Continuously clocking systems are not allowed. Avoid using hoppers that are not necessary to run your shops/games. (example: hoppers that pull diamonds or hoppers that refill furnaces). Any hoppers that can feasibly be locked, should be. Those that cannot be locked should have composters above them.
- Your shop should serve the purpose of the shop and nothing more. It cannot act a secondary base, a farm, personal storage, a villager hall, or any other functions unrelated to the shop are not allowed. Decorative features are completely okay provided you do so while considering it's contributions to overall lag.
When designing your shop, please be courteous and take this into consideration. It is up to the staff team's discretion to determine unnecessary sources of lag at a shop.
Staff may ask you to build your shop/game further away from the down-town area if they deem it necessary.
Commerce Restrictions & Labeling
- All shops must sell an item or service.
- Every service shop must have a payment container (be it a barrel, chest, etc.). This means shops built within the shopping district can not operate based on DM's alone.
- All shops/games must have their name and owner/s names clearly displayed on a sign, book, map art or other clear medium at their entrance.
- Shops/games cannot host free or paid-for advertisement space on the outside, such as billboards or noticeboards. Advertisements of any kind inside are allowed provided it is not a paid service.
