Important Preface
Dominion began over 6 years ago with less rules than today, and over time we’ve collected our own share of additions, edits, corrections, and exceptions. We’ve done our best to parse our rules down over the years, but we do have some areas unique to our community that are not often found on a general SMP server.
To help clarify our more nuanced guidelines, we've included anecdotal examples and explanations of how our rules can be interpreted on our server and within our community.
They might be hidden for you by default. If you would like to see them (or would like to hide them) please click on the ▶ *Notes: arrows below many of our rules below*.

- You cannot modify blocks or otherwise interact with anything within the immediate 100 block radius around a player’s build without their permission. This includes builds as well as any naturally generated terrain.
- You cannot steal from other players or shops.
- You cannot kill another player without their consent.
- You may not place traps that can intentionally harm or kill another player.
- By killing a player, whether intentional or not, you are responsible for any and all losses the player encounters.
- You cannot circumvent the PvP toggle and attempt to harm or kill another player through methods such as explosions or other means.
- Pranking is not allowed.
- All public use spaces such as shops, farms and utilities should be used as stated in their instructions and left the way you found them.
- Any area outlined in red on our Live Map is a restricted zone. Builds in this zone are reserved for community builds and events. You must have prior permission to build there.
- All End Gateways on the main End Island, as well as platforms/islands that they link to, are protected and require prior permission to be built around.
- All land claims must be clearly labelled with a sign or other equivalent method. If we are unable to verify who the land was claimed by, it will not be considered yours should someone else try to claim it.
- In the event that someone tries to claim land you own, we’ll give you one month to make use of the land. If you don’t , it could be given to another player who intends to use it. Any player who leaves the discord, is banned, or otherwise no longer part of Dominion no longer has any stake in and or items they had claimed.

- You cannot use resource packs, shader packs, or any mod which makes ores visible through blocks. This includes resource packs that change the shape or size of ores to expose them when they would normally be hidden. - Minor cosmetic or utility mods such as a minimap or inventory sorting are always allowed. Any mod outside of this criteria is not allowed unless it is listed on our Allowed Mods page.
